Strong Authentication for Solaris Login with Smart CardsFor Sun customers seeking to implement Solaris™ smart card login, ActivIdentity market-leading smart card middleware, ActivClient® enables authentication with strong passwords, one-time passwords (OTP) and/or PKI certificates securely stored on a Java Card. ActivClient supports PKI certificates from leading certificate authority vendors and certificate service providers thus enabling usage of certificates for secure desktop login, secure workstation/terminal locking, secure remote access, secure web login, secure email and many other applications. ActivClient is seamlessly integrated with Solaris: instead of entering a user name and password, end-users simply insert their Java Card into the reader and type their PIN (Personal Identification Number). The secure authentication is handled automatically by the Solaris Operating System and ActivClient. Features and Benefits
